I have to admit that I have been uncertain regarding the facts surrounding the Pentagon attack of 9/11/2001. I have vacillated between the plane/no-plane (or more accurately between FLT77 vs not-FLT77) camps for a long time. I have to say I am finally now convinced that FLT77 definitely did not hit the Pentagon. As for what did hit the Pentagon, I don't know but it was something very much smaller than a commercial airliner.





I've been reminded on numerous occasions in the last few years that "extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof." I couldn't agree more. It is with this admonition in mind that I take up the matter of the Pentagon attack of 2001. Pentagon officials make the extraordinary claim that a commercial jetliner was crashed into the face of the building. Even more extraordinary, the plane evaded NORAD for over an hour as it made its way to Washington undetected where it executed a tight 270deg. spiral decent and skimmed just inches above the ground crashing into the one un-occupied section of the building at ground level.

Such an extraordinary claim certainly requires extraordinary evidence.

First responders at the scene report that there was no evidence of a plane. Arlington Fire crews on the scene within 10 minutes report that they put out the two small fires within the first seven minutes. They also report no indications of a plane. The hole in the building is much too small to let pass a jetliner, yet no plane parts are seen outside the building, in fact, none of the usual debris you would find at a plane crash are seen anywhere. In all of the many photos of the scene you do not see a seat, or a body, or luggage... much less the 60 tons of aluminum that was the plane... or the two 9ft diameter steel and titanium jet engines... or even the 6000 gallons of jet fuel.

So far the only thing extraordinary about the Pentagon's evidence is it's paucity.

A couple of things jumped out at me from this video. For one, and this is the thing that first made me suspicious of the official story, why wouldn't the terrorist just push the yoke down and crash into the Pentagon at the first opportunity from high above instead of taking almost 4 minutes to execute a spiral decent to do an edge-on approach to the building. Another thing is that the plane is still in a fairly steep decent as it approaches the building, much steeper than the object seen in the gate camera frames (see below) yet it is still too high to have hit the light poles.

Bottom line--this animation shows that the official data released by the NTSB does not support the official account of the Pentagon attack. It contradicts the official story in several important respects.





Before I discuss the Pentagon videos I must acknowledge that there is a good argument to made that there is no point in evaluating the videos because they are quite obviously doctored. I agree, the videos show tell tail signs of being manipulated. Even so, let's take a look.

Now finally, in May 2006, the pentagon has released the first "official" video images of the plane striking the building. Five frames of this video were 'leaked' in 2003 but the official release shows frames from two separate gate cameras... but guess what -- there's no plane in the video. See for yourself.



The crucial few frames are these:



Did you see a 757 in the center frame? Me neither. Lets zoom in on the tiny thing on the right edge of the center frame:


Frame 1, without the 'plane' . . . . . . . . . . Frame 2, something on the right edge. . . but is it an AA 757


We see something against a splotchy background, trees in the distance, but it doesn't look much like the 757.
And that's it! From the whole video there is this one frame with something that's supposed to be the plane... but it sure doesn't look like a plane to me. Where are the AA Red-White-Blue lateral stripes, and what's that funny looking thing on the nose?

Now lets look at the background.


Below is a photo of the Pentagon showing the trees (at far left) on the embankment that forms the background for the pentagon gate videos. The trees on the embankment are not very tall, perhaps 30ft at most, with half or less of that extending above the upper roadway. The base of the embankment is considerably lower than the lawn in front of the crash site (notice the stone underpass and the ramp in front of it leading up to the level of the lawn). That puts the hight of the whatsit in the video LOWER than the level of the roadway in the background (I395)and shows that it is MUCH smaller than a 757. And remember, in the video the plane is less than HALF as far away as the trees in the background so it should appear more than TWICE as big, relative to the trees. The image in the video shows an object that appears to be about half the size of a 757.



So, in the end, what do we have? The government has released a few useless frames, obvious fakes, just so they can say they've made their case... yet they still have not shown us one shred of evidence that a plane hit the Pentagon. A 757 has thousands of serialized parts with numbers that would uniquely identify the plane that hit the building but they refuse to produce even one. There are dozens of video cameras that should have captured the event, but the tapes have been secreted away.

If a 757 had hit the building
it would be an easy matter to prove, but they have not.
They will not.
They can not.
Because it didn't happen.
